There are qualities of endeavor and achievement that are common to many people who make it to the top. The following questions are a guideline to self-enterprise and attaining your goals.

Do you prefer to work for yourself than for others?

Are you well-informed on current business and political affairs?

Are you a leader?

Do you take advantage of opportunities?

Do you pay attention to what other people say?

Can you finish a job even when it is difficult or unpleasant?

Are you challenged by problems?

Do you have a goal you want to achieve?

Do you consider other people?

Do you strive to attain?

Can you obey commands?

Can you bounce back after defeat?

Do you believe in yourself?

Can you stand by your actions in spite of criticism?

Can you follow instructions?

Can you respond to the needs of others?

Will you give credit to others?

Can you make your own decisions?

Are you determined?

Are you ready for success?

Establish a Goal-

What do you want?

Are you looking for financial security, professional acknowledgment, spiritual attainment?

Do you want to fit better socially, or become more expressive creatively?

Establish the goal that’s right for you.

Then turn that goal from a dream into a desire. You want to realize that goal, not just wish for it. Aesop said, “Beware that you do not lose the substance by grabbing at the shadow.”

Know exactly what you want, then go for it.

Don’t be tricked by your own procrastination- especially if you want to achieve something artistic.

The writer Thomas Wolfe wrote, “I had been sustained by that delightful illusion of success which we all have when we dream about the books we are going to write instead of actually doing them.

Now I was face to face with it, and suddenly I realized that I had committed my life and my integrity so irrevocably to this struggle that I must conquer now or be destroyed.”

Can you see what you want? If you want the abundance of material wealth that money provides, what goal will give you that money?

Do you want the prestige of owning your own business?

What business do you want to begin?

Where are the opportunities for you?

Talk to everyone in the business you want to join. Make friends in the literary or art societies in your area. Read books and articles about your field of endeavor. How can you attain your goal?

“If you don’t want to work, you have to work to earn enough money so that you don’t have to work!” wrote Ogden Nash. Money makes money; success breeds success.

But not always.

How can you break through those thoughts to help yourself to the rewards?

Henry David Thoreau wrote…

“I have learned this at least by my experiment:

That if you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams, and endeavor to live the life which you imagine, you will meet with success.”

Think BIG and passionately visualize success, consistently and without ceasing:

Do you see yourself in a big house?

Maybe you picture your artwork hanging in a gallery.

Can you feel your book in print and in your hands?

How does it feel to be a person of success?

Affirm-

“To make firm.”

Make firm that you are; know that it is in your grasp. That’s what the others did, and that’s how people make it to the top.

Then get down to basics. Be precise.

Exactly how much money do you want, and by what date?

And exactly what are you going to do to earn that money? Be realistic, but give yourself short-term goals. Write it down.

In six months or one year, you will have how much money. And repeat it until it feels good. Then repeat it twice a day until it swirls in your subconscious, until it becomes your one-pointed goal.

“The goal stands up, the keeper stands up to keep the goal,” wrote A.E. Housman.

Most millionaires are non-conformists. So are the most famous actors and actresses; and the most prominent artists. Writers are known for their individual traits and eccentricities.

Your convictions and goals are your own business, even when you find help along the path. Mentors often take people under their wings to nourish and teach. Or spiritual guides will show you the path to attainment. But you’re on your own to achieve.

Cultivate a sense of justice and an ability to make decisions.

Cooperate with everybody and develop your own self-respect.

And follow good criticism and advice after you’ve judged carefully.

J. Paul Getty said, “I advise young millionaires to be skeptical of advice. They should advise themselves; they should form their own opinions.”

Lord Byron wrote, “There is rapture on the lonely shore.” And if you attain your goals with poise and sincerity, you’ll find warmth and love at the top- not the cold loneliness pictured by the jealous.

Put on blinders to negative comments and criticism meant to hurt you.

About the people who criticize, Voltaire wrote, “Never having been able to succeed in the world, they took revenge by speaking ill of it.”

Seize the Day!

People are judged by what they think and what they say. But the true measure of their character is what they do. Anyone who has achieved success and fortune in the world has done it by action.

William Jennings Bryan wrote, “Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.”

The choice of the path you follow is often put before you as opportunity. “Few people recognize opportunity,” said Cary Grant, “because it comes disguised as hard work.”

Don’t let opportunities slip past while you’re still considering them, and create new ones as you see them. “Wise people make
more opportunities than they find,” said Francis Bacon.

What opportunities can you act upon? Woolworth saw a need for small inexpensive items and opened the chain of stores that grossed billions.

Wrigley started giving gum away as a bonus from a supplies wagon he sold from, and saw the opportunity to make money from the gum that became in high demand.

All successful people the world over have found the opportunities for their own special talents and acted upon those ways to achieve. Why wait for the time to pass? There’s never a better time than now.

Lewis Carroll believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast. Take your own impossible dreams and make them become reality.

How They Think-

Thousands of potential millionaires are born every year. And making a million dollars is coming closer to everyone’s pocket. What advice did the money-makers follow?

Aristotle Onassis worked eighteen hours a day to maintain his fortune. He started as a welder and aimed for the top. “You have to think money day and night,” he said, “you should even dream about it in your sleep.”

John D. Rockefeller, Jr., said, “I believe in the dignity of labor, whether with head or hand; that the world owes every person an opportunity to make a living.”

And J. Paul Getty acknowledged his hard work: “I have no complex about wealth. I have worked hard for my money, producing things people need.”

Even Proverbs advises: “In all labor there is profit.”

Richard Bach, the author of the best selling “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” wrote, “You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however.”

The Empress of the British Empire, Queen Victoria, admonished, “We are not interested in the possibilities of defeat.”

Many people who achieve fortune in the world are not born rich. But they accomplished it through hard work and a plan of action.

Every type of person on earth can become successful. There are saints and scoundrels; philanthropists and thieves; poets and politicians; young and old. There are no limitations or physical boundaries for success.

Success comes to those who deeply think about success and constantly strive for it!

Although many rich financiers at the turn of the century had no formal education, they overcame that and went on to great fame.

Some people strive towards a single goal from early in life, and often attain that goal while still young. Others are willing to
risk new adventures later and still attain success.

“It’s never too late to learn,” wrote Malcolm Forbes, the money magnate. “I learned to ride a motorcycle at 50 and fly balloons at 52.”

Whatever your task, whatever your obstacles, you can be as successful as anyone else. Study the people who accomplished recognition in the areas of your pursuit. How did they achieve their goals? And don’t be afraid you don’t have what it takes.

As Daniel Webster wrote, “There is always room at the top.”

Forming Conviction-

The single attribute that every successful person has is the one-pointed devotion to attain a goal.

“There in the sunshine are my highest aspirations,” wrote Louisa May Alcott, “I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.”

What are your desires? How can you form them into definite goals that you can attain?

Lawrence Peter wrote, “If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll probably end up somewhere else.”

Maybe you’re studying a craft or skill.

Perhaps you’re caught in a rung of the corporate ladder.
Or, you might feel constricted by your family and the environment around you. Which star are you reaching for?

“Ours is a world where people don’t know what they want and are willing to go through anything to get it,” wrote Don Marquis.

Take the time to think about your own aspirations.

Look inside to find what feels right. Almost everyone entertains the notions of fame and fortune, but put on the ‘costume’ that fits you.

Conviction requires certain qualities of action.

You must be sincere and be willing to assume responsibility. And you need the self-discipline necessary to work towards your goals.

Are you prepared to achieve your dreams?

Can you form their reality in your mind?

Will you devote your entire being to attaining what you want?

We will look at what rich people do differently from everyone else, and what you need to do so that you can become rich and realize your dreams. Make sure to subscribe to the feed so you don’t miss a single chapter of Secrets of the Rich.

Would you like to realize your goals? Maybe you’d like to run your own business, expand your material possessions, or succeed in the arts. There is no one path to the pot of gold, but many people of all backgrounds have successfully found it.

Whether you want to follow the ways of the great financiers, the famous politicians, or the dynamic movie stars, there are common modes of behavior each of them followed.

And in many cases, they have shared their secrets so YOU CAN FOLLOW THEIR FOOTSTEPS.

“If you wish to know the road up the mountain, ask the person who goes back and forth on it,” said the ancient sage, Zenrin.

What better way is there to know the secrets than to ask those who made it? What goals do you want to achieve? And what amount of effort can you commit?

You may want money for the extra things in life, money to build a corporate empire, or money to support yourself while you pursue the fine arts.

Perhaps you’d like to take the risk to start something new in your life. You may want to open your own business, devote your energies to an artistic career such as acting, or reap the benefits of your yearly endeavors with fabulous vacations several times a year.

What will bring you happiness? The satisfaction of success takes many forms. Not only are people seeking financial fortunes, but also the ancient goal of peace of mind.

Do you worry? You might be concerned about your health or your family’s well-being. You may be anxious about the added expenses of education, medical bills, or the steady increase of cost of living.

There are ways out of the endless cycles of worry, stress and anxiety. Right now, you can rise above the whirl of survival to achieve the accomplishments you dream of!

When you’re for-real ready to put your whole effort into realizing your goals, YOU WILL SUCCEED.

What are Riches?

“Had I but plenty of money, money enough to spare,” wrote Robert Browning. And money is the greatest attribute of riches. A universal desire, money is the materialization of riches, the stuff that makes the rest possible.

Are you looking for financial security? For retirement, for education or leisure? Riches are the overflowing abundance of material possessions- houses, cars, boats, furnishings- everything you ever wanted.

Centuries ago, Horace wrote, “By right means, if you can, but by any means, make money.” For many people it is a path towards happiness, a cure-all for worry and peace of mind.

For others, riches come in the form of satisfaction and personal independence. Satisfaction comes from accomplishment in employment or attaining goals. It is that feeling of contentment and confidence from a good task well done. Riches are closely linked with success.

And with that comes fame and acknowledgment of position. Success might be the feeling of well-being from the rewards of good effort.

Or the enthusiasm and vitality triggered by recognition. “Success is how well I enjoy the minutes,” said producer Norman Lear.

Throughout history, the people who lived with riches often achieved them by hard work, diligence and a belief in themselves. For some people, it took courage, genius and stamina.

But for many others, it took nothing special but the desire to turn dreams into reality.

Whether you want millions of dollars, recognition as an artist, or personal freedom, you have the ability to make your life as rich as you want. Think about what you most desire. It may not be hard cash, but what it can buy.

Or, it may be those feelings of inner satisfaction, from creating something beautiful or strong. You may want personal independence from the work week, or freedom to live anywhere you want.

You may be looking for something meaningful and significant in life- something other than things money can buy.

Whatever your goals, and however difficult they seem to be to accomplish, you have the ability to become who you want.

Take a look- can you see yourself surrounded by riches? Picture the world open and in front of you, ready to become the form of your dreams, ready to stage your desires. “Why then, the world’s mine oyster,” wrote Shakespeare, “which I with sword will open.”

When it comes to making money, many people are full of ideas…and excuses. You hear it all the time. They say “I have this great idea, that could make me loads of money I just don’t have the money to make it work.” Or they might say “I have to work my regular job to pay the bills, so I just don’t have the time”, or some other excuse that keeps them from achieving their goals.

On the other hand, people who are serious about their dreams find a way to make it work. They don’t have time for excuses. They will find a way to get the money. To find the time they will give up TV, social activities, and even sleep, to turn their dream into reality. They don’t make excuses, they find solutions.

Now many people have a great idea for a website, but they don’t have the money for a domain and hosting. If this is your “excuse” I have found a solution for you. Microsoft® Office Live Small Business. They have everything you need to take your business online.
Sign up and you get a free top level domain, a free website, free email, free hosting, and more for as long as you want. I have had a free Microsoft Office website for a few years now and I can tell you it really is free and it comes with many valuable tools that will help you get your business online.

The downsides, well, you have to use their web design program, and there are some limitations into what types of ads you can put on your site, but you certainly can’t beat the price.

Now if you take my advice and sign up for your free Microsoft Office Website, then I’d like you to do one more thing. Create you website and then leave a comment here showing us what you did. Maybe you can inspire others to give up their excuses and create a great online business.

What is product sourcing? Product sourcing basically means finding products to sell in your business whether offline or online.

Usually a product is bought at a wholesale price and then sold while keeping a profit margin.

For an internet marketer it is a significant issue since most of his success depends on good product sourcing. There are many other aspects that a marketer has to keep in mind and product sourcing is one of them.

Product sourcing can break or increases your profit margins, allows you to have flexibility in offering discounts to your customers and you can give tough competition to your peer sellers.

There are a few tips you can keep in mind when doing product sourcing for eBay. Unquestionably, try not to skim doing lots of research. It may seem tedious, time wasting and impossible, but this is the part which could make you money in the long run. Be the first few to find the product source for these demand products. Usually the easiest way to sell something online is by assessing what the market wants. How can you know?

On eBay find the ‘Hot items by category’ Find a hotitems.pdf file under the sellers central. You can see the Super Hot, Very Hot and Hot items based on the demands that customers make.

There’s another section called ‘eBay Pulse’ which lists out the words that have been used maximum number of times. You can specifically target the products on knowing these words. Just type pulse follow by dot, then ebay dot com. Several research tools are available that are provided by third party companies to assist you in finding what your customers are actually looking for. Famous ones being Terrapeak and Hammertap.

Many product sourcing companies comes with their in-house research tools too, like Worldwide Brands and Salehoo. I’m sure you have some ideas now on the possible products that you can sell to the market.

You can now start to look for products in the wholesale market. There is a huge range available but you have to be particular in selecting your inventory. The right inventory collection is the first step towards a successful online business. If committing to quantities and minimum orders is a problem to you, look under ‘eBay wholesale lots’ portal you will find items that are being sold at wholesale prices.

Here’s another place which can help you - ‘eBay reseller marketplace’ portal, where sellers are allowed to bid for those wholesale products that have offered for resale. reseller.ebay.com/ns/home.html

The ‘eBay Solutions Directory’ gives you a list of legitimate companies that will help you find reliable wholesale resources. Type solutions and then followed by the ebay url.

90-100% of all eBay sellers are holding secrets of their success. Nobody will ever reveal the source of there products upfront. And to find a location from where you get a stable supply of products can be a very challenging task. If you have just begun to sell online, always look for a local wholesalers.

A lot of patience is required in building your niche, but don’t give up!

By Paul Zelig

So you want to be a millionaire? Or even better, a multi-millionaire! Who wouldn’t. Imagine what it would feel like to write that check to your credit card company completely paying off your balance. How about all other loan balances? What would it feel like to have zero debt, and a million dollars in the bank?

On the other hand, maybe you’re someone who’s doing okay financially with no debt, but as humans don’t we have an inherent desire for more! Sometimes no matter how much we have, we’re still not satisfied. Be honest, how often do you visualize yourself behind the wheel of that yellow “lambo”?

We all have a right to be rich. But it’s not about wanting money for money’s sake. What good does it do if we don’t have our health for example. But being wealthy gives us options. Wallace Wattles said it best in his book, The Science of Getting Rich, and I quote, “Your right to life means your right to have the free and unrestricted use of all things which may be necessary to your fullest mental, spiritual, and physical unfoldment. In other words, you have a right to be rich….the desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself! Being poor doesn’t help anyone.

So, how do you get rich? What’s it going to take to achieve your financial goals, your lifelong dreams and your ultimate time freedom? I present to you my no-nonsense list of what it’s going to take to make it big. These may seem obvious, but you’d be surprised at how many people I have met over the years who truly want success, but seem to overlook these very basic concepts. So here we go:

1.	Get Off Your Butt!

Excuse my directness, but sitting around watching television will probably never get you there. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve met who want to be wealthy, but sit around waiting for something to fall out of the sky and save them. In my opinion, there is no such thing as an overnight millionaire. Getting rich requires effort, so unless you have a rich uncle who will be passing away soon, or you plan on winning the lottery next week, then know that it’s going to take effort. Make yourself a commitment to spend a little less time on non-income-producing activities, and rather invest the time in yourself and your future.

2.	Stop Being Skeptical

If you’re skeptical, and not open to opportunities, just stop now and figure out a way to get over yourself. Of course, it’s okay to be cautious, do your due diligence before you hand someone your hard-earned money, but it all begins with being open to receive the opportunities that are presented to you. There are so many work from home businesses and other opportunities out there but don’t write them all off as scams. It could be the one you thought was too good to be true that could have made you a millionaire! As Edwin Hubbel Chapin once said, “Skepticism has never founded empires, established principals, or changed the world’s heart. The great doers in history have always been people of faith.”

3.	Stop Working For A Boss

Most people will never get rich working for someone else. I hate to use sweeping statements, so I say most people. There are always exceptions to the rules. But typically, you can’t get rich working for a boss. You see, when you’re doing that, you’re being leveraged. Who typically makes more money, the owner of the company or the employee? Even when your boss is on the golf course he or she is still making money, but you have to work for every dollar you earn. Don’t you want more control over your time and the money you make? Of course you do. And if you don’t, then perhaps free enterprise isn’t for you.

Now, I’m not saying you should walk into your boss’s office today and quit, but at least start looking for something else you can do on a part time basis. It’s time to start looking out for yourself and your family and stop building someone else’s dream.

4.	Stop Making Excuses

We’re all guilty of this. We make excuses all the time for why we can’t do something. Unless you’re willing to get real with yourself and stop making excuses, you’ll never get to where you want to go. You have to learn how to eliminate, or at least reduce to a minimum the constant self-talk you hear in your head all day long. That little voice that directs you throughout the day. And if you’re thinking, “What voice?” well, it’s that one you just heard! In my own business I have spoken to hundreds of people over the years who wanted to get rich, but weren’t even willing to spend an hour with me to consult with them on a plan of action. I would get all kinds of excuses. You see, most people aren’t willing to participate in their own rescue! It sounds crazy, but it’s a reality. If you are constantly making up excuses, get to the root cause of why you’re doing that because if you keep it up, you will most likely never achieve success.

5.	Never Give Up!

So, what great article would be complete without a dumb, rhetorical question? So here’s mine: What multi-millionaire ever got wealthy by quitting along the way? If you’re going down this road, begin with the attitude that you will never quit no matter what. I can tell you, there will be challenges along the way, anyone who tells you it’s going to be easy, or you’ll make “quick-money” is probably handing you a line. I don’t know a single millionaire who didn’t fail multiple times along the way, but what separated them from everyone else who tried and failed is that they were not willing to quit. As Winston Churchill said, “Never, never, never quit!”

If you follow these very basic guidelines, your chances of achieving success will increase exponentially. Now go out there and create massive results for you and your family. The time for excuses is over.

Learning to Trade Forex - A Simple Guide!
By Peter Burke

Don’t jump in the deep end by putting $1,000 down and then thinking you are going to double it within the year without doing much work! That doesn’t happen. The most likely outcome of such enthusiasm is usually burn out with the person losing the initial trading deposit.

As a start you should familiarize yourself with the terminology that traders use - for example what are ‘pips’? What is a margin trading account? What is technical analysis? What is a Trading Platform? These are basic elements that you should know plus many more things!!

Visit Forums

If you feel that forex is for you visit forex forums, ask questions, try and get a feel for the market and the temperament of traders. Try and sort out who the ‘real traders’ are from the ‘ego trippers’.

Open a Practice Account!

When you feel that you are starting to get at least a basic knowledge then look for a company (usually a brokerage company) that supplies a trading platform and a ‘practice account’.

If you haven’t traded before and you are a complete ‘newbie’ to this business (yes -treat it like a business) learn as much as you can by ‘doing’.

Once you have got to the practice trading scenario, try and ‘replicate’ what it feels like to both gain and lose money - put some money aside and add and take away appropriately according to your results on that day.

One of the first lessons you should be learning is never never over-stretch your finances.

Don’t over-margin your account!

When learning to trade forex you will need at some stage to start trading ‘for real’ on a margin account but don’t leverage $1,000 up to $100,000 your broker may cut your position to limit any exposure their company may have if your position goes against you - so only utilize 15-20 times at first - gain confidence and with confidence knowledge and skill expand your leverage.

They are financial instruments whose prices are calculated by the price of another underlying asset or security. Generally, futures and options are used to guard against risk and for speculative roles. Whenever an investor from Europe purchases shares of an American company on the NYSE, for instance, he is exposed to some stock price fluctuations and currency exchange rate risks. To minimize his overall degree of risk, the investor can purchase currency options to make certain the exchange rate is fixed when he sells off the stock and converts the American dollars back into euros. We will now take a better look at how futures and options work.

Futures

A future is merely an agreement to purchase or sell an asset for a preset price at a specified date in the future. A future’s fundamental asset can be, amongst a lot of other things, an agricultural commodity, individual shares, stock market indices, bonds, and interest rates. A future contract will have fixed delivery dates, traded units, and other clearly defined terms and conditions.

For illustrative purposes, let’s imagine that you’ll “open” a futures position by either purchasing or trading an equity futures contract where the underlying asset are shares. Whenever you’re anticipating the price of the stock to go upwards in the near future, you will purchase a futures contract that will oblige you to receive a specified number of shares at a preset price on a certain date in the future. This is known as a long futures position. If, on the other hand, you’re anticipating the price of the stock to go downwards in the near future, you’ll sell a futures contract that will oblige you to deliver a specified number of shares at a preset price on a certain date in the future. This is known as a short futures position.

Like any other kind of investment, futures contracts carry a risk - that market prices may not go in the direction you thought they would. Nevertheless, they enable you to profit both in a rising and a descending market. When you invest in shares, you typically profit from purchasing low and selling high. But with a short futures position, you can still make money even if the stock price drops.

Options

An option gives its holder the right to purchase (call option) or sell (put option) an underlying asset at a planned price before or on a particular date in the future. But unlike a futures contract, the holder of an option is not obligated to take any action. If the holder decides not to exercise the option, all he stands to lose is the premium he gave for it.

Imagine you currently have a number of shares of a specified company’s stock and you plan on selling them in a month. If you anticipate the share price to drop in this one-month time period, you could purchase a put option that will give you the right to sell your shares at a preset price at any time within the next thirty days. Whenever your expectations turn out to be right, you’ll be able to sell your shares at a price that is more than the market value.

Options could be utilized as an insurance mechanism against future dips in the price of an underlying asset. The purchasing of options arrives with limited risk as the holder of the option only stands to lose the option premium if his anticipations of market movements do not happen. Additionally, they allow you to take part in market price movements without actually having to take on the underlying asset.

Hopefully, this brief article has served to shed some light on what futures and options are and how they function. The examples preceding were very simplified and were only meant to show the basic concepts of derivative trading. In reality, trading with derivatives is a good deal more complex and warrants additional reading. You need to be extremely acquainted with the different types of products to be successful and fruitful in your positions.

I was looking around the internet today, trying to find ideas for blog posts, and I was struck my the number of sites telling me how to make money and get rich. It all seemed so complicated. I could invest money in the stock market or the currency markets, I could flip houses or websites, I could even click my way to riches. Some sites would only reveal their secrets if I bought an ebook or a membership to their site. Then there were those that claimed I could get rich by writing an e book, or starting a membership site.

The answer to how to get rich isn’t complicated at all. In fact, it is pretty boring. There are just a few simple steps, and I’ll share them with you right now, for free!

1. Spend less than you earn. Or earn more than you spend. It is common knowledge that people’s spending increases as their income increases. Making more money isn’t going to help you. Unless you have a plan to spend less than you earn you will spend everything you earn, and probably more.

2. Stay away from debt. If you are in debt, get out! I never said it was easy to get rich, I just said it was simple. The simplest way to get out of debt? Quit getting more debt. Pay at least the minimum payment on all your debts. Eventually you will be out of debt. (I didn’t say it was fast, just simple.)

3. Save and Invest Money. Now that you are spending less than you earn you will have money to save. Start with a high interest savings account. When you have a few thousand there, start looking at investing in index funds.

4. Max out your 401(k)plan at work. Don’t tell me you can’t afford it. Find a way to make it work. If your employer has matching you are a fool if you are not putting the max in your account.

There you go. 4 simple steps to getting rich. And once again, I didn’t say it was easy, I said it was simple.
